About

An independent planning guide, not an operator

Bluejaymere exists because most Ring Road content is either a tour operator's sales page or a photo blog — this tries to be a genuine planning instrument instead.

What this is / 01

A route-first planner, not a listicle

Bluejaymere treats Iceland's Route 1 as a closed loop of eight real driving legs, each with a real distance, a season-adjusted wheel-time estimate, and its own regional and landmark pages. The homepage route dial and day-count picker are built from that same structure, not decoration on top of generic travel copy.

Sourcing / 02

How facts here are checked

Distances, road-access rules, safety information, and seasonal details are checked against public sources — Wikipedia, Icelandic official safety resources (SafeTravel, road.is, Veður.is), and established Iceland-travel publications — at the time of writing. Conditions in Iceland genuinely change fast; always verify current status through official sources before you drive, not just this site.

What we don't do / 03

No bookings, no operator partnerships

Bluejaymere doesn't sell tours, take bookings, or receive payment from any operator named on this site. Where we mention boat tours, guided glacier hikes, or car rental categories, it's for planning context, not a referral relationship.

Something out of date?

Road access, opening hours, and safety situations change. If you spot something wrong or outdated, let us know — messages reach a person, not an automated queue.
